EqualSkills and e-Citizen

Computers and the Internet are an essential part of everyday life. People who lack the skills to use computers and the Internet miss out on a valuable resource and run the risk of being left behind. ECDL Foundation offers two single module certification programmes for complete beginners and those with limited knowledge of computers and the Internet.

EqualSkills is an introduction to computers and the Internet developed for those with no previous experience.  EqualSkills helps to remove the fear of using a computer for complete novices by using a simple, non-threatening approach to educating individuals in the basic skills of using a computer, email and the Internet.

e-Citizen explains how to use the Internet effectively to communicate with individuals and groups, retrieve information, and access products and services.  This certification programme is suitable for anyone who feels that they lack the necessary Internet skills to engage in and benefit from the information society.
