The Foundation discovered that their members wanted an accredited and reputable international computer qualification. After research and many positive referrals, the Foundation chose ICDL, and it has been ‘…a winner from the word go’ according to Stephen Smith, Founder, The Papillon Foundation. ICDL South Africa understood the vision, work and potential of the Foundation and was fully supportive at all times.

ICDL at the Papillon Foundation has had a very positive impact in the centre and the community. The success of the programme relies on ‘word of mouth’ and the importance that many businesses and companies in South Africa place on ICDL. In fact, many companies insist on ICDL qualifications as an employment prerequisite,  and the Papillon Foundation community has learned through this that qualifications can open up many doors for them in their lives
