ECDL / ICDL Stakeholders Gather from Around the World at ECDL Forum in Warsaw, Poland
ECDL Forum, a gathering of ECDL / ICDL stakeholders from around the world, took place in Warsaw, Poland, last week. Featuring speeches from the ECDL Foundation Chief Executive, Damien O’Sullivan, representatives of National Operators, Accreditation Partners and other stakeholders, the event gave delegates the opportunity to discuss the progress and best practice of implementing ECDL / ICDL, and the bright future for the leading international digital skills certification.
During his keynote speech, CEO, Damien O’Sullivan, outlined initiatives to help bring the benefits of globally-recognised digital skills certification to even more people, and recognised the hard work that has gone into promoting and running the programmes, which has resulted in over 14 million candidates being registered to date.
Other highlights from the Forum included the Best Practice Awards, showcasing the best examples of organisations using ECDL / ICDL around the world, and discussion groups, which allowed delegates to share their experiences and ideas on topics such as digital skills in the workplace, addressing the digital native fallacy, and ICT skills in education.
